This was my first car but I didn’t buy it until 1949. It was pale yellow with white sidewall tires and baby moon hubcaps. The gearshift was attached to the floorboard with a screwed in metal plate. When the gear got stuck (and it DID!) you just unscrewed the plate a little and turned the gear wheel with your finger or a screwdriver.
Between the gear shift and the brake, it was a real challenge to drive up and down hills and mountains. The back window was fixed and had a sweet oval shape so you couldn’t see behind you very well. I really loved this car and it lasted quite awhile. Needless to say, I wish I still had it. It was a treasure!
